Peer learning activity on Promoting a Culture of Quality, 11 and 12 June 2018, Dubrovnik

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to invite you to the Peer Learning Activity (PLA) on Promoting a Culture of Quality which will be organized by the Agency for Vocational Education and Training and Adult Education (AVETAE) within the EQAVET NRP Erasmus+ project.

The PLA will take place at hotel Lero (Iva Vojnovića 14, Dubrovnik), located just outside the Dubrovnik’s Old Town. The activity will commence on Monday, 11 June, at 8:30 and finish on Tuesday, 12 June, at 14:00.

Participants can apply via application form available at the link: https://tinyurl.com/pla-dubrovnik no later than 20 May 2018. An online pre-activity questionnaire will be sent to all PLA participants two weeks prior the event.

Please note that PLA participants will have to cover their own traveling expenses and accommodation costs. AVETAE has reserved a limited number of rooms in hotel Lero. Participants who want to stay at this hotel are kindly asked to confirm their reservation no later than 15 April 2018 by sending an email to booking@hotel-lero.hr containing “ASOO” in the subject line. For the participants who do not want to stay in Lero, other accommodation is available not far from the hotel. Since it is expected that this year’s tourist season will overthrow all the records, you are strongly advised to make an early booking

The main goals of the PLA will be gaining insights on various approaches, tool, support mechanism and cooperation on national and local level for the purpose of strengthening culture of quality. Presentations and inputs will be related to the following questions: What does culture of quality mean? How can we deal with culture of quality at provider and system level? Are there ways to influence culture of quality at both levels? Is there a connection between school/VET provider culture and quality management? Is it possible to improve the culture of quality (for example, at provider level) and how can this be achieved? Do we have different approaches in different countries when it comes to the culture of quality?

We welcome NRP representatives (1-2) experienced and/or interested in promoting the culture of quality. Since our intention is to address the topic of culture of quality from the system level and from the provider level, we kindly ask NRPs to extend our invitation to one representative of VET provider in their respective countries who would be willing to participate in PLA and provide their inputs on the provider level.

Looking forward for seeing you in Dubrovnik!
