National Peer Reviews Carried Out as Part of Erasmus+ Project EQAVET NRP HR

From September to December, National Peer Review were carried out as part of the Erasmus+ project EQAVET NRP HR. The Agency for Vocational Education and Training and Adult Education organized and supported the participants. Six schools participated in the assessments, three from the sectors of economics, trade, and business administration, and three from the health and social care sectors.

Key Points:

  • Organization and Participation:
    • The assessments involved six schools, with each school sending two representatives to assess another school.
    • This method ensured expertise in specific teaching content and quality assurance topics, fostering collaboration among vocational schools.
  • Assessment Process:
    • Conducted according to the guidelines from the "Manual for European Peer Review in Vocational Education and Training" and the "European Peer Review: Areas and Quality Criteria in Vocational Education and Training".
    • Three schools from the health and social care sector conducted in-person assessments, while the other three from the economics, trade, and business administration sector conducted online assessments.
  • Preparation and Support:
    • The Agency facilitated and supported the participants through preparatory meetings.
    • Online meetings were held from September to November for each assessment, including three meetings with peer reviewers, one joint meeting with the host school, and one meeting with the host school and the Agency.
  • Assessment Execution:
    • Assessments were conducted from October to December, each lasting three days.
    • Activities included interviews, school tours (in-person or virtual), and organizational reviews.
    • Each school provided at least seven interview groups, including students, teachers, professional services, and external stakeholders, with each group interviewed for 45 minutes.
  • Feedback and Reporting:
    • Initial feedback was presented to the school staff involved in the interviews.
    • Peer review teams began drafting final reports based on the collected information.
    • Schools will receive the final reports in early February, followed by a joint meeting to exchange experiences and feedback.

This structured approach aimed to gather comprehensive feedback from all participants to develop practical guidelines and examples for organizing and conducting future assessments.
