Piloting of VET graduate tracking started

In scope of ERASMUS+ EQAVET NRP project, Agency for VET and Adult Education in cooperation with three VET schools, started to pilot VET graduate tracking. Valuable feedback on school programs is being assessed along with the success of VET graduates in employment or continuing education.

During November, Secondary vocational school Vice Vlatković from Zadar, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Faust Vrančić from Zagreb and School of Economics and Trade from Dubrovnik will be collecting data on students who completed their education in 2016/2017, using an online and telephone survey. The information is gathered, along with socio-demographic characteristics and educational and career aspirations of VET graduates, on placement rate in VET programmes (EQAVET Indicator 5) and utilisation of acquired skills at the workplace (EQAVET Indicator 6), that is, the relevance of secondary education programs employment in the profession or continuing education.

Collection of student contact data, establishing databases, creation and testing of the survey preceded the beginning of online survey, while the analysis, processing and presentation of results are expected during December 2018 and January 2019.
