VET graduate tracking systems – study visit in Zagreb
Within the joint activity on graduate tracking systems in scope of EQAVET NRP project, the Agency for Vocational Education and Training and Adult Education (AVETAE) organized a study visit to Zagreb for partners from NRPs of Finland, Greece and Slovenia.
On the first day, October 22, at the AVETAE premises, AVETAE representatives presented the system of vocational education and training in Croatia and AVETAE role within the system, quality assurance system in Croatia with an emphasis on self-evaluation, as well as the work, methodology and results of VET graduate tracking piloting implemented within the previous and the current EQAVET NRP project.
Representatives of the National Centre for External Evaluation of Education (NCEE) presented the participation and results of VET students in large-scale assessments (Nationwide leaving exams) and the analysis of vertical patency. A representative of the Agency for Science and Higher Education (ASHE) presented the enrolment and participation of secondary VET graduates in higher education. In addition, AHSE’s survey on graduates' employability was presented. AVETAE’s external expert for VET graduate tracking, gave a presentation on Employment and Career Development of VET graduates based on VET Graduate Tracking Survey piloting results.
On the second day of the study visit, October 23 2019, participants visited Mechanical Engineering Technical School Faust Vrančić, one of the schools that participated in the piloting. School representatives presented the work of the school staff on self-assessment and VET graduate tracking, its results and their use, as well as additional activities of the school related to its alumni.
VET graduate tracking systems study visits are part of a joint activity of Croatian, Finnish, Greece and Slovenian NRPs implemented within national EQAVET NRP projects+ co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.
